Modismo is a 3D Manufacturing startup that sells custom-built objects that are manufactured using 3D Printing. They have an eCommerce store that is built on WooCommerce where customers can access their wide array of products. Customers are able to purchase ready-made products or also have the option of customising their products according to preferred dimensions, material, colour etc.
Modismo was looking for a custom ERP solution to automate their entire operations from product management to manufacturing and fulfilment as they had very specific requirements which could not be met by many of the off-the-shelf ERP solutions in the market. They needed an ERP that could generate 3D model shape files and images, generate products and variants according to a custom logic and pre-configured material database and integrate directly with their WooCommerce, Google Drive and ShapeDiver. On top of that, they wanted to track additional information for products/materials that were not to be synced to their WooCommerce store (e.g. product/material costs, purchase orders, suppliers etc.).
Modismo reached out to Automate Labs via a discovery call and explained their current situation and what they envisioned their custom ERP to look like. They could not imagine how the final system would look like but they were very clear on their objectives.
